Privacy
Nothing follows you home.
Updated 1 October 2026, for game accounts.
This website
- roadroamers.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics, trackers or advertising. Fonts, pictures, video and scripts are all served from this site.
- The leaderboard reads the public board from the game at play.roadroamers.com, in your browser, without cookies. Players’ profile pictures on it are Google profile pictures, so your browser loads them from Google (googleusercontent.com).
- The web server keeps standard technical logs (such as the address a request came from, the page and the time) to run and protect the site.
- The newsletter form does not send or store anything yet. When sign-ups open, this page will say how they work before any address is collected.
Your game account
Accounts are free, and you sign in with Google. Your first night can be played as a guest, kept in your browser; when you sign in it carries over, and the game offers to upload any journeys from that browser.
- What is stored: your Google account id; your email address, for account recovery only, and never shown; your display name and avatar; the profile fields you fill in; and your saves and stats.
- Cookie: one session cookie on play.roadroamers.com, to keep you signed in. It is strictly necessary, and nothing tracks you.
- Deleting it: in the game, open Profile, then Delete account. It is removed at once; copies linger only in the nightly encrypted backups, for up to 14 days.
- The leaderboard shows your display name, your avatar and your best journeys, once they are tied to your account.
The game in your browser
- Settings and key bindings stay in your browser’s storage on your device, and so does a guest journey until you sign in.
- Optional AI voices (off by default): if you add a key for an AI provider under Settings, Voices, the key stays in your browser, and the lines the villagers speak are requested from that provider directly from your browser, under that provider’s terms.
